Artist Statement

It all began in a search. A search for life, a search for love, a search for the foundation that is inside all of us. We grow up, we become so well educated and "civilized", and we try to fit in. In doing so, we disconnect ourselves from our truth: our true selves.

When I first started painting, I was working from my intuition. The people around me were impressed with my paintings and drawings, but they wanted to "teach" me art. Once again they wanted to educate and civilize my work.

My work has and will always be an expression, not an education. Art has always been a very private and special way of communicating with the world and myself. There is no sdfasd

place for anything else in this process. It is a solitaire dialogue with life. Only in this circle of privacy, freedom and silence do I have space for creativity. For me, creativity is being connected to my soul, my true self.
